Greenhorne and O’Mara (FEMA contractor) released the initial draft of the FEMA 85 document for review/comment by the Technical Review and Oversight Committees. The draft document was released on May 17, 2003. The draft document updates the FEMA 85 - 1985 edition to incorporate the latest state-of-the-art for installation of manufactured homes in flood hazard areas. The document has been greatly expanded to cover a variety of design considerations, provides the basis for the design provisions, includes approved pre-engineered foundation support systems, and other related information. The deadline for submission of comments to FEMA/G&O is April 15, 2004.
